Project Coordinator or Project Assistant
Job Description
A family-owned construction company in Altadena, CA, is seeking a Project Coordinator or Project Assistant to join its team! This is a great opportunity for an up-and-coming construction professional to become part of a company that specializes in city jobs, including projects for municipalities, schools, parks, and stadiums. In this hands-on role, you will oversee multiple projects that range in value from five to six figures while supporting experienced Project Managers. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within the construction industry. Candidates with construction internships or experience in the construction process are encouraged to apply!
Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 / year DOE
Project Coordinator or Project Assistant Requirements:
- 2+ years in a construction-related field or equivalent upper-division college coursework - Candidates with construction internships or experience in the construction process are encouraged to apply
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Adobe, and Microsoft Office is preferred
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- A desire to grow with the company
Project Coordinator or Project Assistant Responsibilities:
- Analyze, interpret, and assist in understanding the scope of work for each project
- Assist in the preparation of material submittals and track the approval process
- Review change orders, requests for information (RFIs), and schedules; coordinate project-related tasks
- Participate in job-site visits alongside project team members
- Solicit and gather quotes from contractors, suppliers, and vendors for labor, materials, and equipment
- Communicate with clients regarding project requirements, deadlines, and progress updates
- Maintain a comprehensive to-do list, prioritize tasks, and develop timelines for project completion
- Perform other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned
