Job Description

A leading consulting, engineering, surveying, and architectural support company is seeking a Professional Engineer to join their team specializing in land development for commercial projects. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a collaborative, low-stress environment and enjoys managing straightforward, small-scale projects (1 5 acres). You will oversee multiple projects at various stages, ensuring deadlines are met and designs are executed with precision. This position requires expertise in civil engineering design, stormwater management, and land-use planning.
Professional Engineer Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee 3 7 concurrent land development projects, ensuring compliance with deadlines and quality standards
- Conduct civil engineering design tasks, including grading, erosion control, and stormwater management using Hydrocad and Civil 3D
- Collaborate with drafting teams, project managers, and coordinators to provide necessary project information
- Attend planning commission meetings and zoning board hearings alongside land-use attorneys
- Prepare and review designs and documents for ENS, NPDES, and PennDOT permits
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to land development
Professional Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering from an NCEES-accredited institution
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in MD, VA, OH, or PA, with the ability to obtain licensure in the remaining states
- 3 5 years of civil engineering experience, focusing on land development for 1 5-acre sites
- Proficiency in Hydrocad and Civil 3D
- Familiarity with NPDES, PennDOT regulations, and planning modules for sanitary flow-related thresholds
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
- Valid driver s license with a clean driving record
