Production Planner
Job Description
A leading manufacturing company headquartered in University Park, IL is searching for an organized and experienced Production Planner to oversee the daily operations of their manufacturing processes. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth coordination of resources, managing schedules, and working closely with various departments such as manufacturing, quality, and engineering. Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 / year DOE
Production Planner Requirements:
- 5+ years of operations management experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with production planning within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables), Word, and familiarity with ERP systems
- Job Boss ERP is preferred
- ISO 9001 certification is a plus
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Ability to work 100% onsite from their office in University Park, IL
Production Planner Responsibilities:
- Scheduling & resource management, allocating manpower and workstations based on weekly and monthly demands
- Cross-department coordination, collaborating with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and shipping teams
- Sales consultation, working with the sales team on forecasts and purchasing
- Bill of materials & routings, managing and understanding costing and manpower requirements
- Continuous improvement, implementing new ideas and spreading accountability across the team
