Job Description
A growing law firm that specializes in probate, estate, trust, and elder law is seeking an experienced and motivated Probate Paralegal to join their dynamic team in Newport Beach, CA! This is a hybrid position, that has the potential to be fully remote. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of probate and conservatorship experience. Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with and support 3 attorneys in the probate department
- Work alongside two litigation paralegals for streamlined tasks
- Participate in cross-functional efforts with a shared transactional paralegal
- Managing a caseload of 40 cases involving probate, conservatorship, and trust litigation
- Ensure precise formatting and meticulous proofreading of legal documents
- Facilitate seamless e-filing by preparing documents for submission
- Manage the filing process for various general legal documents
- Take charge of tasks excluding discovery, contributing significantly to case management and preparation
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of probate and conservatorship experience
- Must possess ability to complete probate cases from start to finish without the guidance of an attorney
- Paralegal certificate
- Strong proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), Adobe Acrobat, and e-filing systems
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and take ownership of tasks
