Pre-litigation Case Manager
Job Description
A rapidly growing personal injury law firm in Los Angeles, CA is searching for a strong and experienced Pre-Litigation Case Manager willing to get their hands dirty with everyday tasks while handling a wide range of administrative and complex case management duties. The primary responsibilities of this role include coordinating with attorneys, medical professionals, and insurance companies to ensure that operations run smoothly, all case documentation is accurate and complete and providing regular updates to clients.
This is the perfect job for candidates with a growth mindset who are willing to start hands-on and then eventually work to develop systems, propose improvements and eventually build out the department as the firm continues to expand. The right person will have at least 2 years of pre-litigation experience who is confident enough to suggest ideas and improvements, but also willing to adapt to existing processes. Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 / year DOE
Pre-litigation Case Manager Requirements:
- 2+ years of Pre-Litigation Personal Injury experience (must be specific to Personal Injury)
- Experience managing 50+ cases
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Degree preferred is preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- High level of empathy and client service orientation
- Flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Pre-litigation Case Manager Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with attorneys, medical professionals, and insurance companies
- Manage case files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Provide regular updates to clients on case progress
- Assist with the preparation of legal documents and court filings as needed
- Facilitate effective communication between clients and internal team members
- Manage around 50-70 cases per case manager
- Support attorneys in trial preparation as needed
- Perform routine administrative tasks to support case management
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of case-related tasks
- Adapt and propose improvements to existing processes
- Schedule and coordinate medical treatments for clients
- Obtain, review, and organize medical records and bills
