A family-owned custom packaging solutions company with nearly 60 years of industry expertise, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pre-Press Graphics Technician to join their team. This is a production role focused on preparing layouts and files for the printing press, generating proofs, and ensuring all materials meet production standards. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and motivated individual who thrives in a hands-on, supportive work environment and is ready to contribute to a stable, family-oriented business.
Pre-Press Graphics Technician Responsibilities:
- Prepare customer-provided files for press production, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications
- Generate and finalize press-ready proofs for client review and approval
- Create hard physical proofs for customer evaluation
- Operate and maintain pre-press systems, including Nexus Workflow, Artpro Power Stepper, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Collaborate with the graphics and structural design team to address customer requests and resolve file issues
- Ensure all pre-press work aligns with production deadlines and quality standards
Pre-Press Graphics Technician Requirements:
- 3+ years of pre-press experience in the printing industry
- Familiarity with pre-press software, including Nexus Workflow, Artpro Power Stepper, Adobe Creative Suite, Quark Xpress, and Filemaker Pro
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines
- Comfortable working in a production-focused, computer-intensive role
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and ability to adapt to a family-oriented, collaborative work environment
