Post Production Supervisor
Job Description
A full-service video production and marketing company in New York City is searching for a talented and versatile Post Supervisor to join their team! This is an amazing fully remote, temp-to-hire position, where you will be supervising the completion of projects within the post-production phases, ensuring that everything is executed on time and to the highest standard! Your day-to-day responsibilities will include setting up daily priorities, overseeing the progress of up to 10 projects at a time, managing asset deliveries, booking freelancers and ensuring clear and effective communication through various channels like Slack and email. There is no technical or creative work involved, just managing and supervising for completion.
They are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in a post-production supervisor role, who has a solid understanding of the post-production process, excellent multi-tasking abilities, and strong communication skills. As a fully remote role, the position offers the flexibility to work from any time zone provided you can start by 10am EST with a company that values employees who thrive wearing multiple hats and have an open and comprehensive communication style to ensure that everyone collaborates effectively while creating beautiful and impactful video projects.
Pay Range: $55 - $62/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations in post-production, ensuring deadlines and priorities are communicated clearly
- Coordinate with editors, freelancers, and producers, providing clear direction and support
- Manage communication tools like Slack to ensure efficient information flow between team members and clients
- Handle the assignment of freelancers by matching project needs with their availability
- Keep project assets, including release forms and images, well-organized and accessible
- Promote innovation and efficiency by encouraging the team to bring forward new ideas and methods
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a post-production leadership role, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
- Strong multitasking skills and an attention to detail in managing projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Google Sheets/Docs, with a willingness to quickly adapt to using Slack and Wipster (training provided)
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with clients and ensuring constant communication with the team
- Must have a personal laptop (Mac preferred) with reliable high-speed internet access
- Experience in television or corporate video production is a plus
- A Bachelor s degree in a relevant field is preferred, but professional experience will also be considered
