A top personal injury law firm in Springfield, MO, is searching for a proactive and reliable Associate Attorney to join their team! They are looking for someone with at least 2 years of litigation experience, strong writing skills, and the ability to manage complex cases from start to finish. This role is perfect for a motivated, detail-oriented mid-level attorney who wants to develop their litigation skills while thriving in client interaction, courtroom appearances, and trial preparation. You will handle cases related to malpractice, catastrophic personal injury, and wrongful death. Associate Attorney Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- 2-5 years of litigation experience
- Strong research and writing skills
- Graduated in top 10% of law school class
- MO bar membership in good standing
- Personal injury experience is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
Associate Attorney Responsibilities:
- Handle a caseload of 15-20 cases with the support of paralegals and secretaries
- Draft pleadings and manage discovery topics
- Communicate with clients throughout the case
- Appear at hearings and take depositions
- Participate in trial proceedings, motion practice, and briefings
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic case planning
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
- Maintain organized case files and documentation
- Ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements
