A leading personal injury law firm in Melville, New York, is seeking a talented Personal Injury Paralegal to join its team. This position supports attorneys by managing all aspects of personal injury cases, from intake through resolution. Ideal candidates will have experience in litigation, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive client interactions. Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 / year DOE
Personal Injury Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in managing personal injury cases from intake through resolution
- Draft, file, and serve legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Review, organize, and summarize medical records for case development and trial preparation
- Conduct factual and legal research to support case strategy and trial preparation
- Coordinate and manage communication with clients, medical providers, and other legal teams
- Manage court filings, deadlines, and ensure compliance with procedural requirements
- Maintain organized and accessible case files to enhance efficiency and case management
Personal Injury Paralegal Requirements:
- At least one year of experience as a personal injury paralegal
- Litigation experience required with knowledge of legal procedures
- High school diploma required; paralegal certification preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word with strong organizational skills
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English highly preferred
- Familiarity with plaintiff-side personal injury legal processes a plus
