Personal Injury Paralegal
Job Description
A well-established personal injury law firm that specializes in representing clients who have experienced significant personal harm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join their team in Calabasas, CA. They are looking for candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and are passionate about providing meaningful support to attorneys handling sensitive cases. The role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, empathetic, and has strong litigation experience. Salary Range: $80,000 - $105,000 / year DOE
Personal Injury Paralegal Requirements:
- 5+ years of litigation experience, including at least 2 years in personal injury law
- Experience handling California-based cases
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment with high caseloads
- Expertise in discovery, deposition scheduling, pleadings, and calendaring
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in legal document management systems
- Ability to work empathetically with clients facing sensitive legal matters
- Paralegal certificate preferred but not required with 5+ years of experience
Personal Injury Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support in managing personal injury cases
- Prepare and respond to discovery requests
- Schedule and coordinate depositions, mediations, and other case events
- Manage case deadlines and maintain detailed calendaring
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit and witness lists
- Maintain client communication as a primary point of contact throughout the case lifecycle
- Collaborate with attorneys and other paralegals in managing a high-volume caseload
- Use firm-specific systems for document management and case tracking
