A thriving legal firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join their growing team. This role focuses on handling Connecticut-based cases, managing a rolling caseload of 100 cases at various stages. Key responsibilities include drafting pleadings, conducting research, preparing cases for pre-litigation and litigation, and working closely with clients and partners to resolve injury claims. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proven track record in plaintiff-side personal injury law.
Personal Injury Attorney Responsibilities:
- Handle pre-litigation and litigation tasks for personal injury cases, primarily in Connecticut
- Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other legal filings
- Prepare and manage cases for trial, ensuring all deadlines are met
- Conduct legal research to support case strategy and filings
- Assist with court approval processes and draft settlement petitions
- Maintain organized case files and collaborate with paralegals and other team members
- Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed throughout the process
Personal Injury Attorney Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active New York State Bar membership
- At least 5+ years as an attorney, with 4+ years in personal injury law
- Plaintiff-side personal injury and courtroom experience are mandatory
- Proficiency in Outlook, Slack, and Word; familiarity with Litify CRM is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload
