Patient Outreach Coordinator
Job Description
A nonprofit organization in the healthcare industry is seeking a remote Patient Outreach Coordinator to work on temporary contract assignment for 8-12 months! You can work from anywhere in the US and the company will ship you a company laptop to use for the duration of the assignment. The position involves making outbound calls with the goal of helping patients make informed decisions about their healthcare plans and address any questions or issues they have. They are looking for motivated candidates who are bilingual in Spanish/English with at least 1 year of outbound calling experience and great client engagement skills. This is an amazing entry-level opportunity to gain experience in a new industry, bridge an employment gap or acquire new skills all while making a significant contribution to the company’s commission!
Pay Range: $18 - $20/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound calls to patients transitioning health plans
- Assist patients in selecting a new SD 2024 plan
- Engage patients up for redetermination of their Medi-Cal plans
- Ensure patients remain insured and responsive to the redetermination process
- Inform patients of their healthcare options and address questions or issues
- Maintain detailed records of patient interactions in Excel
- Provide weekly updates on patient progress
- Complete HIPAA training for handling patient information
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of outbound call experience
- Entry-level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
- Healthcare industry experience is preferred
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Familiarity with Files.com software is preferred
