Job Description

An aerospace company in Redmond, WA is searching for a Part-Time Quality Inspector to join their team for approximately 16-25 hours per week! As a Quality Manager, you will be the go-to person for all things quality-related, working closely with the operations manager to ensure that products meet stringent FAA and AS9100 standards. You'll be hands-on, conducting final inspections on production pieces, managing quality control processes, and addressing customer inquiries and corrective actions. They are looking for candidates with at least 8 years of experience in quality control within the aerospace industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure. This role offers a flexible schedule, a friendly and supportive work environment, and the opportunity to make a direct impact on quality control within the aerospace industry. Salary Range: $48 - $52 / hour DOE

Quality Inspector Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in quality control within the aerospace industry
  • Experience with video boards, screens, and electronics
  • Strong background in FAA regulations and AS9100 audits
  • Bachelor's degree (or 15+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work under stress and pressure
  • Strong personal responsibility and accountability

Quality Inspector Responsibilities:

  • Manage all quality control aspects, ensuring compliance with FAA and AS9100 standards
  • Handle customer inquiries and corrective actions, particularly for issues related to monitors
  • Conduct monthly audits and ensure adherence to established procedures
  • Participate in weekly production meetings and address any issues with incoming units
  • Perform final inspections on production pieces, ensuring quality standards are met
  • Generate certificates of compliance for production shipments
  • Inspect sheet metal frames and chassis, coordinating with suppliers if necessary
