A leading law firm specializing in estate planning, probate, and real estate services is seeking an experienced Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join their team in the heart of downtown Chicago. In this role, you'll assist a team of attorneys and senior legal assistants with various real estate, corporate, and probate transactions. You ll be responsible for drafting closing documents, conducting title research, coordinating closings, and providing vital support throughout the estate planning process. If you have a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for learning in a slower-paced, supportive environment, this might be the perfect opportunity for you.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $110,000 / year DOE
Paralegal/Legal Assistant Responsibilities:
- Drafting and reviewing closing documents for residential and commercial real estate transactions
- Coordinating with loan processors, title companies, and clients for smooth closings
- Assisting with corporate forms and probate/trust estate administration
- Researching title records and providing support in estate planning and real estate law matters
- Maintaining organized and detailed case files and client communications
Paralegal/Legal Assistant Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in real estate or corporate/probate law
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate required
- Proficiency in Word and Excel; knowledge of Lean Law and Pro Systems is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a strong aptitude for learning
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients, attorneys, and support staff
