Paralegal
Job Description
A premier personal injury law firm in Springfield, MO is searching for a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their team! They are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience as a paralegal with a strong interest in litigation. This is the perfect role for someone who is naturally curious and investigative with strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to new information and changing situations without losing focus. Pay Range: $60, 000 - $65, 000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial case investigations, including maintaining frequent client contact and communicating with witnesses
- Request, compile, and organize medical records, police reports, clients'education, and employment records
- Prepare comprehensive medical summaries for case analysis
- Summarize depositions and assist with the discovery process, including drafting and answering discovery requests
- Support the preparation for depositions and trials, including organizing exhibits and assisting with witness preparation
- Provide dedicated support for 1-2 attorneys, effectively managing a caseload of at least 20 cases at any given time
- Work collaboratively within a team environment to ensure efficient case progression and adherence to deadlines
Requirements:
- 2-3+ years of experience as a paralegal, with a strong interest in litigation
- Bachelor s degree is required
- Paralegal certificate is a plus
- Experience in litigation is highly preferred
- Must possess strong multitasking skills and attention to detail
- Must have exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn specific legal software (training provided for Filevine)
