Job Description
A reputable and growing law firm specializing in personal injury, medical malpractice, and mass tort cases is seeking a skilled Paralegal with 3-5 years of experience to join their team in Georgetown, SC! The role is primarily focused on civil litigation and involves providing legal support to the managing partner, including occasional travel to court proceedings in North Carolina. Pay Range: $50,000 - $70,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Calendar management
- Attend court proceedings and trials with attorneys
- Trial preparation, including preparing binders, discovery, and indexes
- Travel to conferences (approximately 2 times per year)
- Handle legal documents and drafting
- Communicate with clients
- Prepare trial notebooks
- Review discovery materials
- Draft and prepare pleadings for filing
- Provide support for mass tort cases, including the Camp Lejeune case
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of paralegal experience in mass tort, personal injury, or medical malpractice
- Strong understanding of civil litigation and trial experience
- Paralegal certification is preferred
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Flexible, energetic, and professional demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
