P&C Insurance Producer, Outside Sales
Job Description
An independent insurance agency based in Buffalo, NY is searching for an ambitious and proactive Outside Sales Representative to join their team, selling personal and commercial lines of insurance! This exciting role is perfect for those who thrive in in-the-field sales, involving networking at industry events, meeting clients to identify new business opportunities, and providing comprehensive coverage solutions for a wide range of client needs. Salary Range: Up to $60,000 DOE + Commission
Outside Sales Representative Requirements:
- 3-5 years of outside insurance sales experience, specifically P&C, Life & Health and Employee Benefits
- Must be in the field sales person and able to generate prospects and leads
- Insurance license required with a willingness to obtain P&C
- Ability to conduct sales primarily through in-person client meetings, seeking out new business opportunities and building strong relationships directly
- Strong relationship-building skills and trustworthy demeanor, able to communicate clearly and understand client needs
- Self-motivated and team-oriented, effectively balancing independent work with collaboration
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities:
- Sell P&C insurance, including personal (home, auto, umbrella, etc.) and commercial lines
- Network at industry events to identify potential clients
- Spend time in the field to meet clients and close sales
- Manage the sales cycle for personal and commercial policies
- Generate leads, use quote sheets, and collaborate with the internal team for finalizing quotes
- Maintain a book of business, aiming to cross-sell and expand current client accounts
- Develop a niche specialization, with company support for qualified leads
