Operations Associate
Job Description
A fast-growing independent registered investment advisor (RIA) specializing in financial independence for individuals and families is seeking an Operations Associate to join its team in Waltham, MA. This role supports day-to-day operations to maintain data integrity, streamline trading processes, and assist with client services and billing, all while contributing to the firm s ambitious growth goals. Ideal for candidates with a strong operations background in the financial services industry, this position offers excellent growth opportunities within a collaborative, high-accountability environment.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $95,000 / year DOE
Operations Associate Requirements:
- 3-5 years of operational experience, ideally with a registered investment advisor
- Proficiency with Orion portfolio management software and Salesforce
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, or Economics preferred
- Ability to work onsite
- Familiarity with Charles Schwab and/or Fidelity Institutional platforms preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
Operations Associate Responsibilities:
- Ensure data integrity through daily reconciliation, trade settlements, and reporting
- Support the COO in executing trading, reviewing, and QA/QC processes
- Assist with client billing, audit requirements, and manage data entry for account transactions
- Engage with third-party administrators and custodians to maintain smooth operations
- Identify and analyze process inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Contribute to the integration of newly acquired firms, supporting seamless transition processes
