Operations Associate (Investment Firm)
Job Description
A leading investment firm in Los Angeles is seeking a data-friendly Operations Associate to join their team! They are looking for someone with exposure to brokerage operations and at least 2 years of experience in a professional setting to manage the interactions of brokers and custodians, ensuring the fast settlement of trades. Pay Range: $60, 000 - $65, 000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate timely trade settlements with brokers and custodians
- Conduct reconciliation of cash and position discrepancies for multiple custodians
- Post transactions and allocate trades across client accounts
- Master and leverage APX, Black Diamond, and Excel for operational efficiency
- Address and resolve operational issues swiftly, ensuring compliance with protocols
- Collaborate with teams across the firm to support strategic goals
- Embrace continuous improvement, contributing to the operations team's success
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a professional setting, with exposure to brokerage operations
- Strong computer and Excel skills are required
- Familiarity with APX, Black Diamond preferred;Genesis and Moxy a plus
- Excellent communication and high energy levels essential for a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Experience in a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) setting highly regarded
- Strong proficiency in Excel and APX
