Job Description
An award-winning personal injury law firm in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking an experienced Nursing Home & Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join their team! They are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in personal injury to manage a heavy load of nursing home negligence and medical malpractice cases. Pay Range: $80, 000 - $100, 000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Screen new client calls and assist in the client intake process
- Supervise the opening of new cases, including the collection of necessary documentation
- Maintain communication with clients and manage medical bills, liens, and insurance policies
- Familiarity with Pre-Suit guidelines and processes in Nursing Home Negligence cases
- Assist in the preparation for mediation, trial, and depositions
- Participate in firm-sponsored functions and networking events to assist with marketing efforts
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in personal injury, specifically in nursing home negligence and medical malpractice
- Experience managing a heavy caseload
- Nursing experience preferred
- Paralegal certificate and/or college degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with case management software (Filevine preferred)
