Job Description
A faith-based Nonprofit organization on a mission to empower leaders worldwide is seeking a Nonprofit Senior Staff Accountant to support their finance team! In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing AR/AP, assisting with month-end close processes, managing balance sheets, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions. Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the work of the AP/AR clerk, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Assist the Senior Accountant and outsourced accounting team in facilitating the month-end close process
- Manage balance sheets and financial statements
- Collaborate with international finance division for global financial operations
- Prepare journal entries and ensure accuracy in financial transactions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 2-3 years of accounting experience
- Experience with month-end close processes and full-cycle accounting
- CPA designation is preferred
- Experience in a nonprofit environment or service industry is preferred
- 1+ years of audit experience with a CPA firm is a plus
- Familiarity with budgeting platforms and expense software is a plus
