Job Description

A leading national food and beverage company specializing in seafood distribution is searching for a National Account Manager to join them at their Miami, FL facility!  They are looking for someone with a solid background in sales who has experience with selling perishable food products to provide top-tier account management services by expanding relationships with large-scale vendors and foodservice partners. This exciting role involves managing large-scale projects while collaborating with household brand names to drive business growth and sales with the primary objective being to build and strengthen existing account profiles, enhance brand image, and broaden distribution channels.

Pay Range: $110,000 - $160,000 DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Manage large-scale vendors and food service partners, including selling to new clients and managing extensive projects
  • Build existing account profiles and provide top-tier account management services
  • Work with well-known clients to drive sales growth
  • Engage in the Diamond Philosophy of Sales focusing on Productivity, Quality, Excellence, and Teamwork
  • Generate national key account leads and saturate sales at existing clients
  • Create and pitch tailored sales proposals
  • Travel as required (about 15-20% of the time) to meet key clients
  • Communicate weekly price changes and manage contract negotiations
  • Set individual targets and forecast sales for annual budgeting
  • Collaborate with various teams to strategize growth in key accounts

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 10 years of sales experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in perishable food sales (seafood, meat, vegetables)
  • Industry experience in food service sales, particularly in the seafood/protein segment - Warm water shrimp experience is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Strong sales and client-facing skills, with confidence in handling large corporate accounts
  • Ability to work onsite at one of the Pacific Seafood distribution facilities
