Mold Maker/Machinist
Job Description
A leading manufacturing company in Chico, CA, is on the lookout for a skilled and precise Mold Maker/Machinist to join their innovative team. If you have a knack for precision and a passion for craftsmanship, this role offers you the chance to shine in a dynamic and collaborative environment. With at least 1-2+ years of experience in mold making, particularly within the plastic injection molding industry, you ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of production processes. This temp-to-hire position offers a pathway to full-time employment within 3-6 months, where your expertise and hard work will be strongly valued!
Salary Range: $22 - $25 / hour DOE
Mold Maker/Machinist Requirements:
- 1-2+ years of experience in a mold maker role
- Proficiency with CNC Milling or Turning Machines, Synchroneity Machines, and Vadim Machine is preferred
- Must have based knowledge of CNC
- Experience with Dicost molds and plastic injection molding
- Strong preference for candidates with experience using Master Cam or other machine programming systems
- High attention to detail to avoid mistakes in mold making
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Mold Maker/Machinist Responsibilities:
- Repair molds for the production department
- Create molds 2-3 times a year and primarily focus on repair and maintenance
- Complete repair of 4-5 molds within a 3-day timeframe
- Use injection molding tools, including those for medical device molds
- Work with Haas & Fidell CNC machines to ensure precise mold dimensions
- Collaborate with the team to blend materials for molds
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Utilize ADP for payroll and timekeeping, IQRS for ERP system management, and Master Cam for CNC machine programming
