Mechanical Assembly Technician
Job Description
A manufacturing company in Portland, OR is seeking an experienced Electrical Assembly Technician to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling electromechanical tools and kits from schematics and drawings. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of one year of experience in electrical assembly, be familiar with basic hand and power tools, and have the ability to read and understand technical drawings. You will be working with a team of other assembly techs and a production lead for a team-oriented company employees socialize in and outside of the plant.
Pay Range: $22 - $24/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
- Assemble electromechanical subassemblies for components of pneumatic tools
- Maintain responsibility for mechanical assembly of products from kitted components to final tests
- Perform frequent tool testing procedures, recording data, and reporting any issues to management
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components and tools
- Work with the engineering team to suggest product/process improvements
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in electrical assembly
- High school diploma or GED strongly preferred
- Ability to use MS Office programs
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and diagrams for specifications
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical/electrical equipment
- Computer literacy (MS Office, timecard software, email)
- Experience building PC's is preferred
- Experience using torque or electrical measurement devices is preferred
