Material Handler / Inventory Control Clerk
Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking a Material Handler or Inventory Control Clerk to join their team. The role involves preparing kits, counting parts, and resolving inventory discrepancies. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a stockroom or production environment, knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP), and be comfortable using ERP systems.
The role requires a high level of attention to detail and manual dexterity to handle small parts. While the job can be repetitive, it offers a great opportunity to work with a casual and supportive team, and someone who has an interest in electronics would be ideal.
Pay Range: $20 - $22/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
- Kit picking – prepare kits by printing labels
- Cycle counting, count parts, enter the count into database
- Receive work orders
- Identify/resolve inventory discrepancies in the stock room
- Maintain a minimum inventory accuracy of 98%
- Distribute stockroom reports
- Receive work orders from production floor into inventory
- Fill parts for forecast demand and part shortages
- Help employees locate parts in the stockroom
Requirements:
- 6+ months working in stockroom tracking materials
- Must be able to stand up 80% of the time
- Must be able to life up to 20lbs as needed
- Manual dexterity to handle small parts
- Computer data entry skills
- Must understand material requirements planning – MRP
- Production experience in electronic manufacturing environment is preferred
- ERP background – making transactions
