Job Description

A general contractor that specializes in telecommunications infrastructure deployment is searching for a Master Licensed Electrician to join their team!  They are looking for a passionate master electrician with at least 3 years of experience doing commercial electrical work to perform hands-on electrical work and mentorship in the telecommunication sector.  This is a traveling position in Ohio that requires the electrician to supervise, train, and work directly with installations, wiring, upgrades, and other electrical tasks and it involves stays of 1-2 weeks, or up to 2-4 weeks at a time at project locations.  This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of innovative projects with significant travel and the potential for growth within a thriving company!

Pay Range: $85,000 - $95,000 DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Actively supervise and participate in various electrical tasks, including installations, wiring, and system upgrades, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members, fostering skill development and professional growth within the team
  • Oversee project routing and workflow management, ensuring efficient completion of tasks and high-quality outcomes
  • Regularly travel to and manage multiple project sites across Ohio, with the potential of visiting 2-3 different locations each day, adapting to diverse work environments and project requirements
  • Conduct site evaluations and collaborate with project management to plan and execute electrical work according to specified timelines and standards
  • Liaise with clients and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project needs and progress
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, electrical codes, and safety protocols to ensure compliance and best practices

Requirements:
  • Valid Master Electrician license in the state of Ohio
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial electrical work, demonstrating a broad range of skills in electrical installations and maintenance
  • Proficiency in using PCs, with a good understanding of Microsoft Office applications, essential for project management and communication
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to a traveling role, which includes extended stays at various project sites, depending on job requirements
  • Strong leadership and teaching abilities, capable of effectively mentoring and training less experienced team members in electrical work and safety practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team in diverse and changing environments
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members, management, and clients
