Manufacturing Scheduler
Job Description
A well-established custom packaging solutions company in Ellington, CT is searching for an experienced and detail-oriented Manufacturing Scheduler to play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient production operations. They are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing scheduling who is ready to take on the challenge of managing production timelines and keeping everything running like clockwork. The role requires a strong ability to collaborate with different teams, adapt to changing situations, and maintain a high level of organization. Manufacturing Scheduler Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, specifically in manufacturing scheduling or operations/production scheduling within a plant environment
- Strong experience with Gantt charts and production scheduling tools
- Ability to manage complex scheduling tasks and quickly adapt to changes in the production environment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Manufacturing experience required
- Experience in facilities project management or project management will be considered
- BA Degree is preferred but not required, with experience highly valued
Manufacturing Scheduler Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all production schedules, ensuring resources are optimally allocated to meet client deadlines
- Utilize Gantt charts to create and adjust schedules, accommodating changes such as employee availability or equipment maintenance
- Collaborate with team leaders and various departments to ensure seamless communication and execution of production plans
- Solve scheduling challenges by rearranging resources and timelines to keep projects on track
- Act as the central point of contact for scheduling, ensuring that all employees are aware of their roles and responsibilities within the production timeline
- Maintain a high level of organization and adaptability, ready to respond to unforeseen changes in the production process
