Job Description
A nationally renowned medical device manufacturer is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Controller to join their team. The Manufacturing Controller will oversee the daily activities of the accounting department, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting while managing 3 direct reports. This job requires strong analytical skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with department managers to establish and maintain effective accounting practices. Pay Range: $120,000 - $150,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee a team of two direct reports in AR and AP, with plans to hire a third
- Prepare cash balance activity reports based on banking information
- Develop and maintain accurate forecasting models for the business, with a focus on cash flow management
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of work orders, sales orders, and credit card transactions
- Generate monthly commission calculations for sales staff
- Work with department managers to prepare budgets and forecasts
- Conduct fixed asset clean up and assist with inventory costing
- Maintain payroll processing and inventory control, as well as cost accounting
- Produce financial reports as required by the CFO and other senior management
- Utilize JD Edwards and Microsoft Office on a daily basis
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
- At least 1 year of management experience
- Expertise with ERP systems, including JD Edwards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in inventory costing
- Familiarity with privately held companies and cost accounting
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
