A growing manufacturing company in the City of Industry, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Controller to lead accounting and financial operations. This role involves cash management, overseeing AP/AR, managing reporting, and supervising a team of four direct reports. You will work closely with senior leadership, including the CFO, to streamline processes, ensure deadlines are met, and maintain the company s financial health. The ideal candidate is an organized and collaborative leader with a strong background in manufacturing accounting, a proven ability to drive team efficiency, and a hands-on approach to management.

Salary Range: $200,000 - $225,000 / year DOE

Manufacturing Controller Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting functions, including cash management, AP/AR, monthly close processes, and account reconciliations
  • Supervise and mentor a team of four, including Accounting, Reporting, and Accounting Services Managers
  • Collaborate with the Operations Controller and FP&A Manager on financial reporting and analysis
  • Drive adherence to reporting deadlines and ensure the accuracy of financial statements
  • Manage payroll reporting, cash flow, benefits, and 401(k) oversight
  • Assist with insurance and contract management in partnership with the operations team
  • Identify opportunities to improve team performance and implement process efficiencies
  • Use Great Plains, Jet Reports, and Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with private equity and organizational standards

Manufacturing Controller Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 10+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of managerial experience, including supervising accounting teams
  • Experience working in companies with $150M+ in revenue
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • CPA certification is preferred
  • Experience with Great Plains and private equity-backed organizations
  • Public accounting background is a plus
