Job Description

A family-owned food and beverage company in Kent, WA, is searching for a team-oriented and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee and manage maintenance operations of the! This is an important role that maintains the high standards required for SQF (Safe Quality Food) certification, which ensures the safety and quality of the company's food products. You'll be responsible for supervising a team of maintenance technicians, implementing inventory tracking systems and, ensuring all machinery and systems function at peak efficiency. They are ideally looking for candidates with at least 7 years of experience in maintenance, with a strong background in electrical, mechanical gearboxes, conveyor belts, and vacuum pumps, and 3+ years in a managerial capacity. Experience with PLC/Controls and SQF certification processes or the food industry is highly preferred! Salary Range: 80,000 100,000 / year DOE

Maintenance Manager Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Manager
  • Strong background in electrical, mechanical gear boxes, conveyor belts, and vacuum pumps
  • Proficiency in PLC/Controls
  • Experience with SQF certification processes
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems preferred
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred, but experience will be considered over degree
  • Open-minded, team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
  • Background in food industry is preferred, especially with refrigeration and meat/poultry

Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance team, including 3 maintenance technicians
  • Manage daily operations, ensuring timely completion of work orders and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Implement and maintain the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • Develop and execute inventory tracking systems for a proactive maintenance approach
  • Provide training, coaching, and leadership to the maintenance team
  • Ensure compliance with SQF (Safe Quality Food) certification and related food safety regulations
  • Manage repairs and maintenance of specific machinery, including cryogenic freezing tunnels, Handtmann stuffers informers, grinders, and conveyor belts
  • Maintain electrical, mechanical gear boxes, electric motors, and vacuum pumps
  • Utilize PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and controls experience in daily operations
  • Coordinate with management to communicate needs and progress
