Job Description

A well-established and family-owned business specializing in machine work and crane operations is seeking a skilled Machinist to join their team. This role involves a blend of shop and fieldwork, providing hands-on experience with various machinery and engines used in projects, including oil wells and retail installations. This is a great position for a hardworking apprentice machinist or machine hand who is a jack of all trades and looks forward to an opportunity that offers a friendly atmosphere, strong benefits, and a pathway to learn valuable skills and build a career. Salary Range: $18 - $25 / hour DOE

Machinist Requirements:

  • Experience with general engine repair or heavy equipment handling
  • Clean driving record
  • CDL (commercial driver's license) is preferred (training and certifications provided as needed)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing job requirements

Machinist Responsibilities:

  • Perform machinist duties on the shop floor and in the field
  • Assist with engine repairs, particularly gas engines used in oil wells
  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including cranes and pole trucks
  • Engage in fieldwork to dismantle, transport, and repair equipment
  • Collaborate with team members on various projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship
  • Travel within a 2-hour radius for field assignments, returning to the shop as the starting point
