Litigation Paralegal
Job Description
A prominent personal injury law firm in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a proactive and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team! They are looking for candidates with at least 5-10+ years of litigation paralegal experience who are well-versed in handling complex cases. Litigation Paralegal Requirements:
- 5-10+ years of litigation paralegal experience, with a strong preference for personal injury litigation
- Proficiency in court deadlines and docketing/calendaring procedures
- Experience with drafting legal complaints and documents from police reports
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience with FileVine is a plus (training available)
- Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to handle a fast-paced workload
- Bachelor's degree and paralegal certification preferred
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Drafting complaints and legal documents from police reports
- Setting up and calendaring depositions, trial deadlines, mediations, etc.
- Requesting and managing records and billing information
- Updating disclosure statements and summarizing expert reports
- Managing a caseload of 38-45 complex cases, ensuring thorough attention to detail
- Collaborating with attorneys and experts to support case development
- Proofreading and docketing legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with court deadlines
