Job Description

A boutique litigation and construction law firm in Newport Beach, CA is searching for a Litigation Paralegal! This is a new role with a lot of flexibility designed to provide direct support to the founding partners by managing a diverse caseload that includes Civil/Business litigation primarily in California, with some cases in Texas. They are looking for candidates with at least 3 years of Civil/Business Litigation paralegal experience, a paralegal certificate, and a strong ability to respond to discovery, organize documents for production, calendar important deadlines, prepare basic motions, and assist with administrative tasks. The firm offers a unique work environment, where personal growth is encouraged and comes with the potential to grow into a managing role in the future!

Pay Range: $70, 000 - $75, 000 DOE + Benefits, up to $85, 000 without Benefits

  • Provide comprehensive support in handling a diverse litigation caseload, including tasks such as drafting discovery responses, organizing documents for production, and managing important legal deadlines
  • Engage in calendaring, preparation of basic legal motions, and creation of legal document templates (shells)
  • Conduct initial client intake processes, assist with legal filings, and contribute to administrative tasks to support the firm's operations
  • Contribute to the establishment and improvement of internal processes and structures within the litigation practice

  • 1-2+ years of solid experience in Litigation Paralegal roles, with a strong foundation in case management and legal documentation
  • Experience in any practice area except Plaintiff Personal Injury or Plaintiff Employment Business. Real Estate or Construction litigation is a plus
  • Experience with Texas law is a plus
  • Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on professional phone etiquette and the ability to adapt to changing situations
