Litigation Paralegal
Job Description
A rapidly expanding legal services firm that specializes in personal injury cases is seeking a talented Litigation Paralegal to join their dynamic team in Denton, Wiley or McKinney, TX! The position requires at least 3 years of true plaintiff personal injury litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, self-starter who excels at multitasking and has excellent organizational and communication skills. The firm is trying to revolutionize the way plaintiffs are represented in personal injury cases, so you will be helping shape the future of this industry with a firm that provides a flexible and caring work environment that values a positive work-life balance.
Litigation Paralegal Requirements:
- Paralegal experience in plaintiff personal injury, specifically litigation
- 3+ years of specific experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation - 5+ years is preferred
- State e-filing experience
- Proficient in high-volume drafting and discovery
- Familiarity with case management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Paralegal certification is preferred
Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation cases efficiently through case management system, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards
- Support attorneys in scheduling orders, hearings, depositions, and trials
- Draft various legal documents such as petitions, discovery motions, and notices
- Maintain rigorous follow-up with clients on case-related inquiries
- Participate in weekly strategic meetings to optimize case handling and departmental collaboration
