Litigation Paralegal
Job Description
A franchise and business litigation legal firm in sunny Newport Beach, CA is searching for a Litigation Paralegal to join their team! This role is designed to support 3 litigation attorneys with various aspects of case management, including legal research, drafting pleadings, document review and trial preparation. You will be managing about 10-20 cases at a time with a focus on franchise and business litigation so, they are looking for candidates with at least 4 years of litigation experience, preferably with experience in this focus area. Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 / year DOE
Litigation Paralegal/Case Manager Requirements:
- 4 years of litigation experience (Franchise, Business, or IP Litigation preferred)
- Trial experience
- Paralegal certificate or BA
- Strong grammar and formatting skills
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and pleasant demeanor
- Experience in state and federal courts, and arbitration is preferred
- Real estate litigation experience is a plus
Litigation Paralegal/Case Manager Responsibilities:
- Keep track of deadlines and ensure smooth case progression
- Calendar management, subpoenas, witness interviews, and legal research
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
- File legal documents and conduct document reviews
- Prepare for trials, including exhibit preparation and assisting in different trial locations (1-2 weeks of travel occasionally required)
