Litigation Associate Attorney
Los Angeles, CA 90064 US
A reputable insurance defense law firm in sunny Los Angeles, CA that specializes in property damage, premises liability and construction defects is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing 10-15 cases where you will engage in all phases of litigation from conducting depositions and drafting motions to planning defense, participating in mediations, and eventually making court appearances. The firm is looking for smart and capable candidates with a civil litigation, personal injury or employment law background, who thrive on challenges and are ready to make a significant mark in their legal career. Pay Range: $130,000 - $140,000 DOE
- Manage 10-15 cases from start to finish
- Work with two partners in the department
- Talk to adjusters, clients, and other counsel
- Analyze cases
- Attend depositions
- Draft motions
- Plan defense
- Make court appearances
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership
- 0-3 years of experience in insurance defense, civil litigation, personal injury or employment law will be considered – good law clerkship is required for less than one year of experience
- Proficiency in West Law and PC Law
- Exceptional writing and proofreading abilities
- Smart, capable, and eager to contribute to a team-focused environment
