Legal Secretary
Job Description
A highly rated law firm based out of Philadelphia, PA needs a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Secretary to join their team. Unlike other collection law firms, this team prioritizes medical receivables to provide debt recovery services to hospitals, doctors, and other healthcare personnel. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of experience in a legal secretary/administrative role, extremely organized, and familiar with the Philadelphia court system. Legal Secretary Requirements:
- 1-2+ years of experience as a legal secretary
- Proficient in eFiling and document management in multiple jurisdictions
- Familiarity with the Philadelphia court system and surrounding jurisdictions
- High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Basic proficiency in WordPerfect, Dropbox, and Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in debt recovery services preferred
- Must be in office Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm EST
Responsibilities:
- eFile documents across different court systems in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and other jurisdictions
- Perform scanning, mailing functions, and making copies
- File complaint forms and manage medical records and bills by scanning documents to their online systems
- Ensure accurate data entry for case documentation
- Interface with attorneys and support staff to ensure smooth operations
