Job Description
A leading family law legal services firm is searching for a sharp and dedicated Legal Office Assistant/Receptionist to join their team in San Diego, CA! This is your chance to work at one of the largest and most reputable family law firms in the state of California, where you will be a key asset to the success of the team by supporting paralegals with various tasks such as serving papers and drafting documents while handling front-desk responsibilities. They are looking for someone with 1-2 years of experience as an office assistant, who is great in a client-facing role and has some knowledge of the legal industry (preferably). Pay Range: $22 - $24/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact at the front desk, handling less than 20 calls per day
- Assist two paralegals in preparing, filing, and serving legal documents
- Maintain and organize digital files efficiently
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Manage deadlines and support clients dealing with family law matters
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of office experience
- Legal experience is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of serving and filing procedures is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe Pro
- Ability to professionally handle phone calls and client interactions
- Bilingual skills in English/Spanish is a plus
