Job Description

A commercial and industrial machinery supplier in Castle Rock, CO is searching for a skilled Lead Technician to join their team! They are looking for a professional with strong mechanical experience to lead a crew, and manage service and maintenance tasks for boiler systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 4-5 years of experience as a technician, with a preference for those with extensive experience in Cleaver Brooks boiler systems. The company offers a laid-back yet efficient work atmosphere where they promote from within, however, this role involves working in high-temperature boiler rooms (110-120 degrees) and requires approximately 60% travel to sites across Colorado, Wyoming, and Western Nebraska. Salary Range: $40 - $44 / hour DOE

Lead Technician Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4-5 years of experience as a technician in commercial and industrial services
  • Strong mechanical experience, particularly with boiler systems
  • Ability to manage a crew and lead projects
  • Proficiency in Shepard software is preferred
  • 7-8 years of experience with boiler systems, especially Cleaver Brooks is preferred
  • Experience in HVAC or refrigeration services (commercial/industrial, not residential) is preferred

Lead Technician Responsibilities:

  • Manage a crew of 1 to 4 technicians in various service and maintenance tasks
  • Inspect boilers, fix equipment issues, and respond to service calls
  • Perform preventative maintenance and quickly address equipment faults
  • Safely start up boilers and ensure proper operation
  • Identify old equipment and discuss upgrade options with customers
  • Provide excellent customer service by meeting customer needs and giving timely recommendations
  • Guide and instruct junior technicians and lead internal project teams
  • Follow safety practices and keep certifications up-to-date
  • Use Shepard software for job tracking and reporting
  • Travel to job sites across Colorado, Wyoming, and Western Nebraska (60% travel required)
