A distinguished law firm in Burlingame, California is seeking a dedicated Senior Litigation Attorney to join a highly respected legal team specializing in complex civil litigation. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging cases, manage all stages of litigation, and collaborate with a team of skilled attorneys in a dynamic and supportive environment. Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, and possess strong courtroom and legal writing skills. Salary Range: $150,000k base
Junior Litigation Attorney Responsibilities:
- Handle a diverse caseload, often involving 2-3 attorneys per case
- Perform legal writing and research for complex litigation matters
- Conduct discovery, mediations, depositions, and trial preparation
- Support partners and senior attorneys on antitrust, securities, or elder abuse cases
- Navigate cases through all litigation phases, including trials
- Work on contingency-based agreements with a focus on quality over billable hours
Junior Litigation Attorney Requirements:
- Education: JD from a reputable law school
- Bar Admission: Must be barred in California
- 0-3 years of civil litigation experience (anti-trust and securities team)
- Strong legal writing and research skills
- Hands-on experience with discovery processes
- Familiarity with legal research tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw
- Preferred Personality Traits: Type A, driven, and team-oriented
