Journeyman or Master Plumber
Job Description
A commercial real estate and property management company in sunny Carlsbad, CA is on the lookout for an experienced Journeyman or Master Plumber to join their team! They are looking for someone with a journeyman plumbing certificate or equivalent experience in the field with a strong desire to grow with the company. As the only plumber in the company, you’ll be supported by a team of three maintenance personnel and responsible for maintaining and servicing 30 properties across San Diego. Pay Range: $30 - $40/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain various plumbing systems within commercial buildings
- Troubleshoot complex plumbing issues and devise effective, lasting solutions
- Assemble, install, and repair a variety of pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes
- Conduct regular and thorough inspections of plumbing systems to identify and preempt potential issues
- Provide emergency plumbing support after hours and on weekends as needed
- Diagnose plumbing problems, perform repairs, and conduct regular maintenance
- Utilize sewer cameras, snakes, and jetting machines for CAM inspections and drain clearing
- Employ basic handyman/maintenance skills to maintain consistent full-time work productivity
- Lead the creation and development of a plumbing division with the prospect of managing and expanding this new department
Requirements:
- Possession of Journeyperson Plumber certification or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of current plumbing codes and regulations
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized plumbing equipment
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail
- Basic math skills for accurate measuring, calculating pipe lengths, and estimating materials required for jobs
- Must demonstrate a proven track record of managing time effectively and prioritizing tasks in a dynamic work environment
- Capability to work independently without the need for assistance, demonstrating reliability and knowledgeability
- Commercial experience is a must; holding a commercial plumber license is preferred but not required
- Willingness to contribute innovative ideas for process improvement within the company
