Pay Range: $85, 000 - $100, 000 / year DOE

Job Classification Analyst Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of compensation experience, specifically within higher education settings, preferably community colleges
  • Advanced knowledge of job roles within the California community college system
  • Strong written communication skills for clear and effective job description articulation
  • Proficiency in standard office software
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred
  • Previous HR or recruitment experience within a community college in California is preferred

Job Classification Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Review and update job descriptions for accuracy and compliance
  • Benchmark roles against comparable positions in peer colleges
  • Conduct audits of client job descriptions to ensure they meet regulatory and organizational standards
  • Utilize data analysis techniques to provide insights into compensation trends and prepare detailed reports
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs and challenges related to job classification and compensation
  • Work closely with the senior compensation analyst to ensure alignment with market standards
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training programs for compensation analysis best practices
  • Oversee specific compensation projects from inception through completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations
  • Offer strategic advice on compensation strategies and improvements based on market research
  • Assist in the development and revision of internal policies and procedures related to job classification
  • Collaborate on projects to modernize and refine job classifications and compensation structures
