Investor Relations Associate

A booming growth equity firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Investor Relations Associate to join their dynamic team in San Mateo, California. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting investor relations activities for their private equity Fund 1 and Fund 2. You will manage LP and ODD requests, handle client-facing tasks, and assist with operational support, including preparing for meetings and tracking investor communications. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent communication and project management skills, and be passionate about delivering exceptional client service.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 / year DOE
Investor Relations Associate Responsibilities:
- Address Limited Partner (LP) and Operational Due Diligence (ODD) requests
- Handle client-facing interactions, including greeting clients and answering inquiries
- Manage and organize K1 requests and other investor documentation
- Prepare the office for client meetings and maintain a professional meeting environment
- Support fundraising associates with data entry and database management
- Coordinate with IT and ensure the smooth operation of office systems
- Track and manage responses to investor relation requests, ensuring timely follow-ups
- Assist with minority and ESG reporting, including completing detailed forms and applications
- Maintain client portal credentials and support password management
- Provide light executive assistant support, such as scheduling and calendaring
- Collaborate with various departments, including the finance and fundraising teams
Investor Relations Associate Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years in financial services, preferably in private equity or growth equity
- Strong client service or investor relations background
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management abilities
- Bachelor s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (preferred)
- CAIA or CFA designation is a plus!
- Experience with investor relations or legal administrative support
- Knowledge of tools such as HubSpot, Deal Cloud, and eFront is beneficial
