Job Description

A defense manufacturing company in San Diego, CA is seeking an experienced Interim Executive Assistant to support the CEO for approximately 2 months. They are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience as an executive assistant or office manager to manage and coordinate the CEO s calendar, handle email correspondence, arrange domestic travel, prepare and submit expense reports, provide a welcoming atmosphere for office visitors, and prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects. This is the perfect opportunity for someone bridging an employment gap or seeking temporary work in a dynamic and innovative environment. With a laid-back atmosphere, casual business attire, free food, and a pet-friendly office, this role offers a supportive and engaging workplace.

Salary Range: $21 - $30 / hour DOE

Interim Executive Assistant Requirements:

  • Associate's degree at minimum
  • At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant or Office Manager
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Experience with DoD consulting or defense manufacturing is preferred but not required

Interim Executive Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the CEO s calendar, including scheduling meetings at various locations
  • Handle email correspondence and manage incoming communications professionally
  • Arrange domestic travel, including flights, hotels, car rentals, and other logistics
  • Prepare and submit expense reports for travel and office-related purchases
  • Provide a welcoming atmosphere for office visitors, offering refreshments as needed
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects, ensuring timely and successful completion
  • Utilize Microsoft Office 365 for various administrative tasks, with a strong focus on Outlook calendaring
