Interim Accountant
Job Description
A leading non-profit organization in New York, NY is searching for an Interim Accountant for a 12-week assignment! This is a 2 day in office, 3 days remote hybrid position, where you will contribute to the smooth financial operations of the organization by ensuring accurate financial data entry, tracking, and reporting. They are looking for someone with at least 2 years of relevant accounting experience who is detail-oriented, reliable and friendly! This is a great opportunity to build up your resume and gain experience in the accounting and nonprofit industry. The position comes with excellent benefits from BTQ for temp employees for the duration of the contract and the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement!
Pay Range: $30 - $33/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
- Financial data entry and tracking
- General ledger maintenance
- Month-end close assistance
- Reconciliation tasks
- Revenue and expense logging
- Bank statement reconciliation
- Process improvement suggestions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience
- Understanding of GAAP
- Proficiency in Excel (Intermediate level required)
- MIP and Abilla software experience preferred
- Nonprofit and public accounting experience desirable
