This candidate will support the growth of the organization by driving IT operational initiatives and enhancing technological infrastructure. Key responsibilities include managing cybersecurity efforts, implementing processes for remote employees, and overseeing the integration of CRM and ERP systems. This role also involves providing essential IT support and collaborating with external consultants to troubleshoot and resolve issues. The ideal candidate is proactive with a strong background in IT, particularly in cybersecurity, and thrives in a dynamic startup environment that values open communication.
IT Operations Specialist Responsibilities:
- Drive IT operational initiatives in a growing company, directly supporting the Director of Marketing in scaling and enhancing IT infrastructure
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect company IP and customer data
- Oversee process implementations to streamline operations for remote employees and optimize existing platforms
- Provide essential IT support, including file system enhancements and implementing CRM and ERP solutions
- Collaborate with external IT consultants to diagnose and troubleshoot issues, implementing best practices and new processes as needed
- Manage Google Drive, CRM, ERP, email, and data-sharing platforms, ensuring smooth, secure, and efficient operations
IT Operations Specialist Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in IT, with strong knowledge of cybersecurity and IP protection
- Familiarity with frameworks like NIST CSF, ITIL, or COBIT (preferred but not required)
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are a plus
- Ability to adapt to ongoing changes and thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
