Human Resources Director
Job Description
A leading food and beverage company specializing in U.S. farm-raised catfish production is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Director to join their team. This position offers a unique opportunity to manage all aspects of HR for a company with a long history of success, including employee relations, compliance, and payroll management. The HR Director will report to the CFO and oversee a small, experienced HR team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic, rural environment and can manage both the strategic and hands-on elements of HR.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 / year DOE
Human Resources Director Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in human resources management
- Management experience, overseeing at least 3 direct reports
- Expertise in ADA, FMLA, OSHA, workers compensation, and union relations
- Experience in payroll management and implementing payroll systems (UKG experience a plus)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; open enrollment experience required
- Strong interpersonal skills for conflict resolution, investigations, and performance management
- Ability to adapt and handle a wide variety of HR functions and projects
- Must be local or willing to relocate (relocation assistance available)
Human Resources Director Responsibilities:
- Oversee ADA, FMLA, OSHA compliance, and workers' compensation management
- Manage employee relations, including performance management, counseling, and disciplinary actions
- Ensure legal compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Manage weekly payroll processes for hourly employees, working closely with payroll clerk
- Implement and oversee UKG payroll system during transition period
- Maintain company housing properties, ensuring policy adherence and coordinating maintenance
- Lead investigations and misconduct cases, involving senior HR staff as needed
