A superior food manufacturing company in New Bedford, MA, is seeking an accomplished Human Resource Manager to join their team. This terrific role involves overseeing HR operations, managing recruitment, updating policies, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. Human Resource Manager Requirements:
- 5-10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
- 2-3+ years of management experience
- Relevant experience in manufacturing or a similar industry; food manufacturing highly preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Office 365, and Teams
- Ability to work 100% onsite at their office in New Bedford, MA
Human Resource Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee HR operations for 110-150 employees, including seasonal and temporary staff
- Manage and administer retirement benefits programs, conduct annual renewal processes, evaluation options, and pioneer plan improvements, while ensuring compliance at all times
- Lead the recruitment process for senior positions and collaborate with temp agencies for manufacturing staff to post job openings, review resumes, and conduct first-round interviews
- Review and update the employee handbook and other policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices
- Maintain accurate employee records and prepare reports for management
- Support training and development programs to enhance employee skills and engagement
- Foster a positive workplace environment and address employee concerns
