Hospitality Facilities Engineer Director

Job Description
A real estate and hospitality company that owns two residential towers and a boutique luxury hotel is seeking a Hospitality Facilities Engineer Director to join their team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the engineering department, including the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of all HVAC, refrigeration, pools/water features, plumbing, electrical, irrigation, life safety, electrical and mechanical equipment/systems.
The right person for this job will be able to develop, coordinate, and monitor all guest rooms and public spaces, equipment, and project management programs to ensure the reliability, safety, and comfort of all staff, guests, and residents. This position is based out of Sunny Isles Beach, FL and offers amazing benefits.
Pay Range: $150,000 - $190,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and manage all engineering staff
- Oversee full operations of maintenance for hotel and residential towers
- Deal with guest complaints and may need to talk to VIP clients
- Prepare budgets and ensure cost controls
- Interact positively with resort personnel and provide prompt solutions to problems
- Ensure security and confidentiality of all resort information
- Enforce resort's standards, policies, and procedures with engineering staff
- Terminate employees in the department and do payroll for them
- Do training for new hires
- Ensure contractors and pest control are doing their jobs well
- Make sure the hotel is eco-friendly
Requirements:
- Must have at least 5 years of experience as an engineer
- Must have at least 5 years of supervisory experience
- Prior luxury hotel experience is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred
- Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint are required
- Must have a working knowledge of plumbing codes, electrical codes, national/local fire codes, local mechanical codes, water treatment programs, blueprints, plumbing and wiring schematics, power and hand tools, and meters
- Working knowledge of software such as HotSOS is preferred
- Any building trade license/certificate from the state of FLA is a plus
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred
