Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Job Description

An innovative construction company based in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to focus on inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a range of heavy equipment, including semi-trucks, bulldozers, scrapers, and forklifts. This position will require travel between multiple locations within Tucson. The ideal candidate is a confident, skilled mechanic with a certification in heavy equipment and extensive experience working with larger machinery. Heavy Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment such as semi-trucks, bulldozers, scrapers, and forklifts
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment, documenting and addressing any issues
- Coordinate with the lube team to ensure inspections are completed pre- and post-use
- Travel to various sites within Tucson, with occasional trips to surrounding areas (transportation provided)
- Maintain a proactive approach to equipment upkeep, identifying and solving problems independently
- Collaborate effectively with the Head Mechanic and team members, upholding company standards for performance and reliability
Heavy Equipment Mechanic Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with heavy equipment
- Heavy equipment mechanic certification from a recognized trade school
- Proficiency in diesel machine repair; welding and hydraulics knowledge is preferred but not required
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work unsupervised; comfortable working in the field
- Must possess a valid driver s license and be eligible for company insurance
